About Eric Jerome Dickey
Eric Jerome Dickey is an African American author who is best known for writing about the black experience in contemporary life. There are 15 Eric Jerome Dickey novels out there and he has been featured on the bestseller lists in the Wall Street Journal as well as the coveted New York Times. Eric Jerome Dickey was born in Memphis, Tennessee in 1961. He earned a degree in Computer System Technology from Memphis State University and moved to Los Angeles to continue a career in engineering where he was employed at Rockwell International as a software developer. But Eric Jerome Dickey had other aspirations. He enjoyed comedy and wanted to get started in a career in acting as well as comedy he began touring the comedy circuit both locally and nationally. Shortly after that, he began writing comedy scripts for his act as well as short stories. Eric Jerome Dickey had his first short story published in 1994. He then went on to write a screenplay called Cappuccino which made its debut at the Pan African Film Festival in 1998.
